Back in 1995 I was fresh out of college and spending my summer season travelling around from town to town checking out the local street scene. At the time I had a beautiful good 1966 Chevelle. From the surface she looked pretty stock and plain Jane, and that is how I liked it.

Chevy Chevelle’s For Sale

I attempted to keep the vehicle as low key as possible. Unlike most people I didn’t want to put flashy Super Sport badges on my car or market that there was anything other than a small block concealing under my hood. My Chevelle which i bought in Charleston ME 04422 had no flashy rims or large meats sticking out of the back wheel wells, simply the stock looking rims and a set of Mickey Thompson cheater slicks that may just give a hint to what this vehicle was up to.
If you were to look within my 66 Chevelle you actually would not believe much of it simply a clean stock looking black interior with a Hurst 4 speed and 3 low key gauges mounted under the dash. Under the hood of my car is where this car truly shined. Nothing expensive hiding under there just a clean stock looking big block Chevy with painted valve covers and a stock looking air filter sporting a 325 horsepower 396 cubic inch sticker label. If you simply took place to talk me into raising the hood for you this is where I had you. Since tucked beneath that stock looking air filter with the 325 horse power sticker label was an extremely stout 427 cubic inch big block Chevy. You can find a Chevelle Like Mine In Charleston ME 04422.
It was this low key appearance that hooked them, and after that it depended on me to reel them in. I remember my friends and I cruised up and down numerous a primary street that summer season. We would travelled my Chevelle up and down the regional strips mostly just idling her through, never really revving her up or getting on it. Simply a low key Chevelle attempting not to draw attention to ourselves so that we could set our trap.
Lots of a man stepped into the trap that we set that summer season, always believing that they were going up against a mostly stock car. Kid were they wrong. I did not win every race that summer season, but by the time fall rolled around my little low key 66 Chevelle had rather a name for itself and gained the respect that it deserved.

Throughout the 1960s and in the early 1970s, there was a lot of range for each design year of the Chevelle for sale readily available to customers. This was the first time the American car market had seen a design that aimed to be all things to all people. There were convertibles, economy-oriented sedans, station wagons tailored for the families, and naturally, the muscled coupes. The Chevelle for sale was also readily available through special nameplates throughout the years, such as Wanderer, Nomad Custom-made, Greenbrier, Concours Estate, and Concours.
