Back in 1995 I was fresh out of college and spending my summer cruising around from town to town checking out the regional street scene. At the time I had a pretty good 1966 Chevelle. From the surface she looked quite stock and plain Jane, and that is how I liked it.

Chevy Chevelle’s For Sale

I tried to keep the car as low key as possible. Unlike most people I didn’t wish to put fancy Super Sport badges on my vehicle or promote that there was anything other than a small block concealing under my hood. My Chevelle which i bought in Ripley TN 38063 had no fancy rims or wide meats sticking out of the back wheel wells, just the stock looking rims and a set of Mickey Thompson cheater slicks that may just give a hint to exactly what this car depended on.
If you were to look within my 66 Chevelle you really would not believe much of it just a clean stock looking black interior with a Hurst four speed and three low key evaluates installed under the dash. Under the hood of my car is where this vehicle actually shined. Nothing elegant hiding under there just a clean stock looking big block Chevy with painted valve covers and a stock looking air filter sporting a 325 horsepower 396 cubic inch sticker. If you simply happened to talk me into raising the hood for you this is where I had you. Because tucked beneath that stock looking air filter with the 325 horsepower sticker label was a really stout 427 cubic inch huge block Chevy. You can find a Chevelle Like Mine In Ripley TN 38063.
It was this low key appearance that hooked them, then it depended on me to reel them in. I remember my pals and I cruised up and down many a primary street that summer season. We would travelled my Chevelle up and down the regional strips mainly just idling her through, never actually revving her up or getting on it. Just a low key Chevelle attempting not to accentuate ourselves so that we might set our trap.
Numerous a guy entered the trap that we set that summertime, constantly believing that they were going up against a primarily stock car. Kid were they wrong. I did not win every race that summertime, but by the time fall rolled around my little low key 66 Chevelle had quite a name for itself and gained the respect that it should have.

During the 1960s and in the early 1970s, there was a good deal of variety for each design year of the Chevelle for sale available to customers. This was the very first time the American car market had actually seen a model that attempted to be all things to all individuals. There were convertibles, economy-oriented sedans, station wagons tailored for the households, and of course, the muscled coupes. The Chevelle for sale was also available in the form of special nameplates throughout the years, such as Wanderer, Wanderer Custom, Greenbrier, Concours Estate, and Concours.
